Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
School District Lawsuit
I was hired by a school for a job that another teacher with much more seniority put in a request for. This caused a great deal of trouble including a grievance, and culminated in my dismissal in favor of the other teacher (conracturally correct). However, my contract was violated on many issues in the process, and evaluations that I believe were written to discredit my and my own grievance, but can deter my future employment. This is a nutshell scenario. My question is: Is it legal to sue a school district?

Yes, i is legal to sue a school district. The question you need to explore with a local attorney is whether you have a good case.
