Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

theft in the work place
my employer fired me for theft or so he says but he accused another emplyoee also and didnt fire him saying he was going to bring his own people in the theft was 10,00.00 over a three month time spand he said he sat down with a cpa and went over his records and they said someone was robbing you blind i came in to start my shift all he said was give me your key i think you or the other guy is stealing he fired me for what i guess is theft. is this legal and for $10,000.00 dollars wouldn`t a employer file a lawsuit or something against me for the theft

Hmm. Just answered a similar question, but the answer is the same.

Absent union protection or the allegation of impermissible discrimination, MI law is that employment is "at will."

This means a person can be fired for any reason,--or no reason.
