Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
To Whom It Will Concern,
I am trying to get information on if I might have a case for wrongful termination. Here is the situation I'm in:
So yesterday 7th January, 2012 I got in a confrontation with my boss (Mitch Black) at work, because he said I yelled at customers in which I did not not. I have been working all morning and we had a wake for he friends because some he knew passed away. there were 3 people on Me Phil Reeder, Robin Fairly, and Monika Schneider. The girls had the part which was over 150 people and in the backroom and I had the Front of the house well the party started to migrate to the front and blocking my way to my section so for an hour I was politely asking the people the move to the either side of the isle way so i can get thru, all along im getting bumped into spilling drinks and almost dropping trays o of food and drinks. again I was being as nice and politely as i can asking to please move. well I got a little frustrated after doing this for and hour I raised my voice a bit to please move I'm coming thru I don't want to drop drinks and food all over the place. well Mitch heard me this time not any of the other hundred times was asking them to move, and didnt help me get his friends to make room for me. He took me out side and started to scream at me telling me that I dont yell at hes friends to move out the way for me to get through and mouron what F@#* are you thinking, and he keeps yelling and name calling and what so I get defensive like almost everyone else would be if back into a wall I yelled back defending the myself saying I didnt yell I talked sternly to them to move cause for over an hour I was getting puched bumped in to and spill drinks and almost dropping tray of drinks and food, and all i was trying to do was get thru to make your money and so you dont lose money from food and drinks being dropped.
And all long none of the people I talked sternly to even noticed me or said anything to me about because they just kept getting in my way until I was done for with work.
So I go into work today to work at my time I was suppose to be in and stilling being a little upset going in, Mitch asked to talk to me, I told him no i dont think its would be right to talk to him just in case say something wrong, well he didnt like I guess, so He told me to leave your fired.
Well Im not sure if this would be wrongful termination, So any information you can give me would be helpful.
Sincerely,
Phil Reeder

No. You are an at will employee and can be fired for any reason, including the one you speak of here.
