apartment damage
If my washing machine supposedly breaks and my carpet is full of water and my apartment manager calls someone in to clean the carpet am I responsible for the bill or is it some thing that should com out of my security deposit?

In most cases if your appliance, such as a washer owned by you, creates damage to the home that you are renting you may be liable for the damages to correct. Here, your landlord made a remedy to protect their property and your living arrangements. They can not use your security deposit until you move out. Your best bet is to talk to your apartment manager and make payment arrangements.
