erasing all blame
management company did not receive rent check client sent in early because she was going out of town. client is proactive and phones management to ask why cash has not been cashed. by that time, mngmt co. has already filed with the court. client pays rent the next day with a certified check. mngmt co applies it to court fees & partial rent. what can client do NOT pay court fees and make sure this is erased from her credit rating and all records?

Go to court and establish a record. Plead your position to the judge. A reasonable argument should have success as it sounds like the management company jumped the gun in running to court.
