Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

Evicted incorrectly?

I totally remodeling my mobile home inside and out (New windows, doors, lanscaping rocks, shed and decks), I have been evicted for nonpayment of lot rent. I cannot pay the back rent.

As I was moving out and paying people with the items such as doors and lanscaping stone. I am selling these items also. Park maintenance has stopped me and banned me from the park. Many things of mine still there. The park maintenance man who banned me from the park has been seen removing the lock and doors from my shed and taking things.

I am missing 4 cats which I presume are still in the home.

#1 Can I still have my landscaping stones and other fixtures from the property.

#2 Can the maintenance man threaten to evict people who I have sold things to?

#3 Can park management evict others who would let me stay at their homes?

Thank you for your help!

Re: Evicted incorrectly?

Unless there has been an order of eviction entered against you prohibiting you from entering your own trailer (and you own the trailer and its contents), then you can enter your trailer and remove items anytime you want. If the park manager gives you any problems, and you are not engaging in anything illegal, then tell him you are lawfully on the property. Even if he called the police, if there is no order of eviction, then you still have the right to occupy your premises.

He can threaten whoever he wants, but they are empty threats.
