Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

my girlfriend lives with her mother and they have been having some communication problems that have result in her mother threating to lock her out of the house and not let her back in ever. is she allowed to do that without haveing her evicted. she does recieve mail there and it has been her place to live for many years

If your girlfriend is an adult (over 18), and she has not signed the lease, or she does not have an ownership interest in the property, then her mother can make her leave the mother's household, and not let her back in, ever. If your girlfriend is over 18, she either needs to figure out how to get along with her mother, or she needs to move out and set up her own household.
