Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

Hi,

I have an apartment complex whom turned me over to an agency for the remainder of my lease. However, I have old neighbors stating that someone was occupying the premises within 3 weeks of me moving. The complex is telling the agency someone started renting as of Jan. 26th, 2010 however my neighbors are stating by the 1st week of November 2009. Is there anyway I can find out when they moved in by a utility bill or when they started to receive mail there?

You can send a written dispute to the collection agency and the landlord. The landlord cannot charge you for rent after the premises is re-leased. http://www.wolverinelaw.com
