new landlord

if my house i rent is sold, can the new landlord threaten me to move out the next day after papers are signed and property is his. i have not signed a new lease with him as we intend on moving out within the next month or so.

Re: new landlord

No, he cannot do that. He is required by law to provide you with at least 30 days notice to move and with any changes to your tenancy. Additionally, your former landlord is responsible to you on the contract and unless other arrangements have been made, if the new landlord forced you out, the former landlord would be legally responsible to you for your damages.
