Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

I am a landlord renting my private residence. My tenant has been late several times with paying the rent, have caused damages to the property during lease and refuses to pay the late fees on lease account from the late rent payments. Am I able to legally evict the tenant from the property at this time?

It will certainly depend on how your lease reads, but if rent is owed and not paid, you can start by sending the Notice to Quit and file your eviction suit 7 days later. Good luck.
