Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

Landlord/Tenants: Access to Premises

I am leasing an apartment in the City of Ypisilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan. I want to know if there are any ordinances or regulations pertaining to when and how the landlord can enter my apartment and what sort of notice is required. There is a clause about this in my lease agreement, but I want to know if the law provides additional regulations. Where can I find this imformation, or what is your suggestion for me to research this? Thank you so much.

Re: Landlord/Tenants: Access to Premises

You are correct about there being specific language required in the City of Ypsilanti for entry. That is most likely reflected in the lease if your landlord prepared it properly and may be the paragraph you are aware of and mentioned. For ordinances specific to Ypsilanti, although not completely current, go to www.municode.com and search for Ypsilanti, not Ypsilanti Twp.
