Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
Lease Agreement
I recently rented an apartment for which I signed the lease agreement (for one year) paid my security and first months rent. Upon receiving the keys and walking through the entire apartment I decided it was not what I was looking for so I called the landlord just a few hours after receiving the keys to inform them that I really didn't want to move in so could I drop the keys off and pick up my money. She told me that she would have to check with their accounting dept. I thought that I had 24 hours whenever you sign any legal document, am I wrong in thinking that? Please help. Thank you.
