lease breaking
I was told that we wouldnt have to pay money for breaking a lease if we were going from a apartment to buying a home. is this true. any information would help me. the land lord said we had to give a 2 month notice and give the 1200.00 on top of that. we are going to buy a house and are renting right know.

The lease outlines the responsibilities of the landlord and the tenant. There is not a law that would allow a tenant to break a lease to buy a house. You are bound to the lease agreement you signed and should time your purchase of a home around your lease obligations to avoid paying the landlord for time you did not use the apartment.
