Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
I am living in my sisters old home for the last year. She filed bancruptcy in may and now there is a sheriff sale scheduled for the home. She has now decided to do a deed in leiu before the sheriff sale and will not speak to me. I have no idea how long I have to move or what happens. Please help me I am at a loss.

Even if she does a deed in leiu of foreclosure, they cannot just kick you out. They will first need go to court and file for an eviction.You should receive notice of the hearing for eviction, which will be either mailed to or posted on the house.
