Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
In Michigan, can I sue my former landlord for DOUBLE my security deposit in as much as it has been more than sixty days since I have moved out?
All my monthly rents were paid in full, on time. There are no damage claims against me and I informed the landlord of my forwarding address in writing on his form.
I have also requested my security deposit refund by mail more than thirty days after moving out. The landlord has simply not replied.
