Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

I moved into my apartment about 3 weeks ago and Thursday 28th I was told by my roommates that my lock to my door had been changed to a deadbolt. According to my landlord I never signed a lease at the apartment complex even though I had signed one and have a temporary key that was given to me. I had a police officer come out and because it was after hours he couldn't help me. Yesterday I went back to the apartment during regular hours and the manager was not there. She is keeping my stuff locked up and will not let me in to get the rest of my belongings. What are my rights and am I allowed to get my stuff out??

You have room mates? How do they get in? The door to your bedroom door was dead bolted? or, the door to the apartment was dead bolted? Again, how do you have room mates? You have a copy of the lease? Your landlord signed the lease? You have a key to what?

You have the right to get your stuff out, but your question has a lot of holes in the facts. The court will need to have a clearer picture of what you have, what was done, where it was done, when it was done, who did it and why they did it.
