Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

I just purchased a house and am planning on moving out of the house that I'm currently renting. My Rental Lease Agreement Addendum states that my lease was extended from July 2009 "through April 2010". I interpreted this as meaning that I had to pay up to April 1st and then vacate the house. My landlord claims that this means that I'm responsible until the end of April. No dates are mentioned on the addendum just "through April 2010". Who is in the right here? Thank you in advance.
