roommates stuff

we had someone live with us for 8 months rent free. The creditors are now pounding on my door trying to find her. She was asked to move out. She left her stuff behind. If I give her date to pick it up. How long should I wait to get rid of it all?

You could throw it out now but send her a letter maybe certified to let her know she has 2 weeks to pick it up and at that point you are considering it "abandoned" and you will discard of it.
