Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

small claims

I won a small claims judgement in Ohio. The people have nothing but an extra house in michigan and are selling it. Can I put a lien on it so I can get paid if it sells, using my judgement from here? Was for non-payment of rent.

Re: small claims

Yes, if it has been more than 21 days since your judgment was entered, you can use the Judgment to put a lien on their real property, and/or to garnish their wages. I suggest you place the lien on their property immediately, so they cannot go through with a sale without resolving or paying the judgment first.
