Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
Tenant
A friend and I agreed verbally to go half on a house. He put up $500 and I have put up 3,000. He's done half the work, and hasn't paid his half of the bills in over 3 months. Can I legally evict him and/or take the house? By the way, only my name is on the deed.

You have a verbal lease for rent. You would have to evict him using the courts. The "deal" on the house might not be enforcable because of the Statute of Frauds. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss details. Tim Klisz
