Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan
Tenant / landlord dispute
We vacated a rental house. The garage door was dented/bent. The damage is cosmetic and the door functions fine. Landlord says the dent will bug him. He wants us to cover cost for new garage door about $900. The door is about 10 years old. Am I responsible for the cost of a new door. To me it looks fine.

Re: Tenant / landlord dispute
If you dented the door, then you are responsible to fix it. If it cannot be fixed without a new door installed, then you can be made to pay the cost of the new door.
