Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

I have a women who came to stay in my house in mid october 2010 after being evicted and forclosed on her own property. I have asked her to leave and she has not. She does not receive any mail at my address, her driver's lisc does not have my address and she has no written or verbal lease to be in my home. Do i have to serve her eviction papers or just put her stuff on the curb and change the locks?

She is a tenant and your proposed action is illegal and can result in you getting sued for wrongful eviction. This must be done by agreement of her leaving or the full eviction process in the court must be followed. If you need assistance, please contact me at kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz
