If an attorney is reported to the Attorney Grievance Commission for failure to reveal important information that his client should know, can that attorney, in return, sue the client for the investigation?

This is America and anyone can sue anyone for anything. But if you mean, will the suit be successful, the answer is that it is highly doubtful the attorney would win. In fact, the suit may itself be a grievable offense.
