Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Michigan

Is one obligated to pay an attorney's bill when services were not requested? (Two daughters contact their father's attorney -- the father did not request the contact -- the attorney called the father -- the father told the attorney he did not want to meet with him). The father is NOT incompetent.

If either of the daughters were at least 18, they could be obligated to pay the lawyer's bill. If the father was a former client, and one of the daughters (a minor) was in trouble, and the attorney came to her aid, then the father might be liable for the bill. If the daughters called the attorney to tell him that their father is incompetent, and the call was relevant to current work the attorney was performing for the father, then the father is probably liable for the bill. Your question leaves too much for speculation as to the facts surrounding the call and the bill.
