recuse

I am going to court and i would like to ask a judge to recuse himself from the case. What is the proper format or approach to ask him or the system to honor my request

You have to have a damn good reason to get th3e judge to recuse himself, more than a mere conjecture of bias. The proper way to do that is through a motion, which is a formal request to get the judge to do something. William S. Stern
