remains of someone at the funeral home not given to next of kin.can funeral home be sued?

If remains were lost or given to an unauthorized person, maybe. Do you have standing to sue? Are you a close relative? Did you instruct the funeral home to do something different than whatever they did? Were you the person who hired the funeral home?
