Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Michigan
unprofessionalism
My lawyer has a reputation for having female clients in his office past 5 and on Saturdays. Many past female clients are approaching an area lawyer to file a complaint against him, the issue being sexual advances. He is very smooth and makes me feel like I am very special and smart & offers to have me call him at home. I just learned he bought a favorite client/friend a puppy, he has invited me to spend special time w/ him on several occasions. How can I report my own dealings with him & keep it confidential?

Re: unprofessionalism
This guy sounds like a real case...first DOCUMENT everything. Your word against that of an accomplished con artist will take some dates and details.
You should also fire him and ask for your money back.
Then, report him to the State Bar.
You'll have to reveal your identity, because the attorney needs to know who is accusing him.
Talk to the attorney who is ready to file a complaint and see if perhaps you can write out an affidavit, --the problem is, it will be very difficult to make a complaint in complete privacy.
