Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

Cardiologist + Stent Implants

My Father had 90% blockage in 3 arteries. Stents were placed in each approx 90 days ago. Dr. said 1 artery had a loop in it which he straightened, used experimental stents coated with some medication, which was agreed to.

Some how (no one knows whats wrong) Father now has irreversible damage. Blood pressure is impossible to control. Totally bottoms out when he attempts to stand. 90 days in Hospital following stents as a result of the procedure. Cardiologists, Neurologists, and extensive re-hab hasnt helped. Hes now coherent only part of the time. Mother working with estate attorneys to prepare to put him in nursing home. Looking for an aggressive MI attorney. Father lives in Saginaw Co.

Re: Cardiologist + Stent Implants

I recognize that this is an extremely emotional thing for you because it is your father. The only way that any attorney can determine if there is a case is to obtain all the records and have them reviewed by competent cardiologists with excellent credentials who will testify in court if they can determine if the cardiologist involved did something that a cardioligist under similar circumstances should not have done or if they failed to take action that should have been performed. Since your father cannot sign medical authorizations authorizing the release of his records, it will be necessary to have you or your mother appointed guardian in order to have authority to sign the authorization. Then, the records could be obtained. I am a courtroom veteran with the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating association with a great deal of experience in this area. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your mother. William S. Stern 248-353-9400
