Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan
I am trying to find out information on if my uncle has a case or not.
He recently lost his wife, due to an overdose (she passed away at home). A day later he was admitted to hopsital due to the fact he could not deal with her passing. While he was in the hositpal, his sister was made power of attornany in his behalf. Come to find out a few days later, his wife's body was released to his wife's mother, and family, without his consent or his sisters. I was wondering if it was illegal for the medical examiner to release his wife's body without the concent of him or his sister, since she was married??
He was wondering if he had a case, because of her body being released without concent by him, and for him not being able to have closure due to the fact she was buried before he was released from the hositpal, and was restricted from attending her funeral because of his wife's family??
I would apprecaite any information that you could provide me with on this matter.
