Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

My husband had a laproscopic appendectemy. Days after surgery he took a turn for the worse. We found out he had an absess. The infection/bacteria was beta hemolytic streptococci. Who is at fault? Is this common? Could it have been contaminated instruments? Do we have a case?

You need to contact an experienced medical malpractice law firm who have medical expertise to obtain an opinion. Look in the yellow pages under personal injury/medical malpractice and makes some calls & internet inquiries. If a med mal firm is interested in your lawsuit, they will pay for an expert doctor to review your case for potential malpractice against the hospital and/or physicians. Sometimes infections occur without anyone to blame, however, only a doctor can properly opine on that issue.
