Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan
Malpractice for Veterans
I have come to the unbelievable conclusion that the only people in our society
that can not sue for malpratice are service connected veterans. If you or your sons or daughters serve in the military and are injured or become sick and must
go to a VAMC for treatment you can not sue for malpratice no matter how bad
you are treated. This is a poor way of treating the men and women who went to
some far off land to do the right thing. Then be treated second class the rest of
your life. So my question do I have any rights here at all? Will any lawyer handle a case against the Veterans Adminstration?

Re: Malpractice for Veterans
Suing for malpractice within the military or veterans hospital system is difficult, but not impossible. My understanding of this is that it depends on your status and where the injury (malpractice)occurred.
The reason there are few lawyers doing this is the difficult jurisdiction issues. Feel free to give me a call if you have a case you would like to discuss. 1-800-838-0800
