Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan
Planned Parenthood Medical Malpractice
I contracted an STD from a sexual assault and was treated at Planned Parenthood. The nurse practitioner negligently applied acid to my genitals, disfiguring them. I am having corrective surgery soon. I received a copy of my medical record. However, I cannot make out the last-name of the nurse, only the first name. Planned Parenthood is refusing to tell me her last name. The botched treament caused discoloring, scarring, and severely damanged skin on my genitals. It has caused me pain and emotional distress. Should I consider a lawsuit? The surgery is going to cost $5000 and the suregon only promised a 50% improvement. How can i find out her last name so I can see if she has had any former complaints or lawsuits? Where can I find an attorney to assist me in bringing a lawsuit?

Re: Planned Parenthood Medical Malpractice
I feel for your pain and suffering. The incident sounds like a clear case of medical malpractice. You should receive compensation for your pain and suffering and damages. It does not matter that you do not have the name of the nurse. Planned Parenthood will ultimately have to give you the name.
I represented hospitals and doctors in medical malpractice suits. I know the best plaintiffs attorneys. Please email me at your convenience if you would like a referral.
You might consider consulting with an attorney before your corrective surgery.
