Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

Being Sued by Hospital

I was treated at a local hosp after a dwi accident (car v. tree). I was in police custody and taken to the ER with minor injuries. At the hosp. the physician wanted to do CT Scans, which I refused several times. The doctor sedated me and did it anyway. I refused to pay for the scans and now the hospital is suing me. Do I have any recourse under Michigan Law? I have offered to pay for the ER visit minus the scans. The CT Scans they did total over $3,000!

Re: Being Sued by Hospital

If they did emergency scans with the idea of saving your life, you might not have any recourse, particularly if you were drunk and not really able to make a decision legally. Your lawyer can help you with this.
