Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

Walked In Limped out

I was seeing a chiropractor for neck pain and headaches, which he did relieve. Well, on one occurance, he adjusted my hips, and I guess he didn't like the way it adjusted and did it again immediately. Well that night I started having some pain, the next day when I woke up the pain was more severe. This was in Jan of this year. Well by Feb 15 th, I was unable to walk. My husband took me to the e.r. and they heavily medicated me. Now I have to go for therapy 3xs a week,(manual traction) Im on meds valium, pain killers, and a patch, none of which help to relieve the pain, I can't sit for more then 10 mins, I can't walk without pain, my rt hip is way higher now then my left, I can't stand to shower,I cant get out of bed on my own, I try it takes atleast 15 mins if not more, I have to have help doing anything, I can't even drive anymore. I am seeing a specialist who told me I will need a few operations and may have to have a an epidural which he explained will be risky itself, so they can inject cortizone into my spine. Every day that passes I get worse, like I stated I was fine till he did that adjustment, Would this be grounds or litigation?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

This sounds like it could be a case of chirpractor malpractice. Before moving forward with any type of malpractice case, the medical records must first be reviewed by an expert physician to determine if there has been a deviation of the standard of care.

We have handled many cases against chiropractors successfully when serious or permanent injuries result from a misallignment. There are many instances when adjustments cause perfectly good discs to herniate and fragment, lodging pieces along the spinal region causing great pain and discomfort.
