Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

XRAY ownership

If I want a second opinion can I request possession of my XRAY's in order to take them along with the copies of my medical records, which I now have, thanks to this web site?

I really did not understand what this web site has to do with your question but I believe that under HIPPA (new privacy law) you have a right to the xrays. If the doctor will not release the xrays, find a lawyer to sue under HIPPA and request attorneys fees. William S. Stern
