Legal Question in Military Law in Michigan

Expeditious Discharge

I hear you can be discharged from the army under some ckuase called expeditious discharge. I know you have to be in your first duty station at least 6 months and in service no more then three years. Does anybody know the correct protocal and procedure for this process?

Re: Expeditious Discharge

The Barracks BS is getting pretty deep... it's a total lie. There is NO such process and I've been doing this for 29 years, Army, Navy, AF, and USMC... all the same.

Even if it WERE true - which it isn't - if you go read your enlistment contract in your personnel file, you will see that you have an 8 Year "Military Service Obligation." That means, that you subtract your active duty time from 8 years, and the balance you do in the Reserves... which the Army is now re-activating because they are not getting enough enlistees. If you have something more specific, please contact me directly at [email protected]
