Legal Question in Military Law in Michigan
Spleen removal not put in records
In June of 2004 I had cancer removed from my esophogus. I've JUST (last week) found out that during this surgery the surgeon also removed my spleen. There was no mention of the spleen before or after the removal. He's sugarcoating it and saying it's no big deal. There is no record at all of my spleen being touched during the surgery. I also have problems with my liver that may be cause from the surgery.
After the surgery, he seen me for about 2 weeks and said I should no longer hurt. He went through my back and my stomach for the surgery and I'm still in major pain and can't even operate on day to day life.
I'm just wondering if what he did is ok or if I have some kind of lawsuit?

Re: Spleen removal not put in records
More information is needed. At a minimum - were you in active US military service at the time? Was the surgery done by the military?
