Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan
Dog Bite
A neighbor child accidently let our dogs out of the fence and they walked up to a woman getting her mail, she is very afraid of dogs and started to scream help and kicking and then proceeded to run. I was at work and this is what eye witnesses stated to me. I arrived home to a cop stating that she claims she was attacked by our dogs. She went to a local med service an hour after the incident and I tried to offer to pay the out-of-pocket medical expenses. I have just received in the mail a month later a letter from an lawyers office stating that she is going to sue me, is there anything other than the medical damages I already offered to pay that I can be liable for?

I wouldn't worry about it. Just turn it over to your homeowner's insurer. Let them deal with it. That's why you pay the premiums. William S. Stern
