Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

If someone else filed a suit in small claims court, can we add my name to the claim after it has been filed or do we have to refile and pay the fee to file again?

To be in the same case, you have to file a motion with the court clerk and potentially appear in front of the judge to explain why you should be added to the lawsuit. A motion is a request to ask the court to do something.
