Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan
My husband was killed in an auto accident. He was the driver. His brother-in-law was with and also killed. The car insurance paid $100,000 to his sister for loss of life coverage. Will I receive a loss of life benefit from them also?

I'm going to assume that your husband was at fault. The sister-in-law received the policy limits on the liability portion of the policy as a claim was brought against your husband for causing the crash. If your husband was at fault, then all you will get is from the first party portion of the policy, that may include funeral bills, medical bill payment, etc. William S. Stern
I will not assume that. You don't explain who was at fault, and that can make a big difference. You are also entitled to very large 1st party awards from the insurance company.oily limits are also very important. Please visit me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss these things in detail. There are very strict time limits on suing for certain things. Thanks, Tim Klisz
