Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

Is it too late

I am a 17 year old student in Detroit Michigan. I am currently a junior but my freshman year I was attacked by four girls who were students at the school I was attending. When I took them to court the judge said they were guilty of causing a public disturbance. I have changed schools since the incident and being that it was two years ago is it too late to file a law suit against them?
