Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan
I was making a right turn and hit a pedestrian. I looked to my right and didn't see anyone, looked to my left and then proceeded with my turn. After turning I heard the sound of impact. I stopped my vehicle, and ran to the pedestrian. He didn't have any visable injuries other than a scrapped knee. He was able to walk. I asked if he wanted me to take him the hospital. He said no. I also offered to call the police to file a report. He also declined. I did provide my contact information such as my name, address, phone # and drivers license. They did not ask for my insurance, registration or license plate. I am not concerned I may have not followed the right steps.
What happens if they file a police report? Will I be notifed?
What could happen to me at this point? I am very anxious. I did not get his contact information.
Can I recieve a ticket after the fact?

You should inform your auto insurance agent right away.
You must make a police report for all personal injury accidents.
