Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

Is an organized fight illegal in michigan? I would like to start a mixed martial arts club and have organized fights as a part of the training. The official rules of mma fighting would be closely followed (over 18, no hits to the back of head and spine) and any fight would be outside of public view. Are there any laws against it and what are the consequences if there are? Are the athletes allowed to be paid? I have been trying to search for this but there seems to be alot of grey areas expecially in MI.
