Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan
My Son (who is a Mental Health Client, gave false information to a police officer re: an accident that occurred with his vehicle collided with 4 other vehicles, one of which was a transport truck [he was not driving the vehicle but reported to police that he was the driver] The accident was reported to his insurance company who has written him a check for the replacement cost of his vehicle. Question should he file an amended report on the accident before accepting the claims check. What are the criminal implications. NO TICKETS WERE ISSUED since the accident occurred on private property i.e. the parking lot of the appartment complex in which he lives.
