Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

Are travel expenses for a physician being deposed reimbursable at my hourly rate?

I submitted a bill for a 2 hour Michigan deposition and an additional 1 hour travel round-trip for deposition testimony I provided. I received a reimbursement check for the 2 hour fee with a letter attached that travel isn't a reimbursable expense. I am a Michigan resident. The deposition took place at my office on a day I wasn't scheduled for any other professional activity at my office.

No they are not. You didn't even have to travel, it was at your own office. I could not see a judge awarding this. Kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
