If your doctor did not meet standards of practice due to negligence, and his/her negligence was the proximate and legal cause of an injury that was not an otherwise expected side effect of the surgery, you may have a case. You will need to see an attorney who specializes in medical malpractice who can apply the law to the specific facts of your case.
