Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
My 2 siblings, myself and a nephew were deeded property in the UP of MI reserving a life estate for dad. He does not occupy or use the property and us remaindermen pay all costs (taxes, etc.) Can we take possession of the property and can he allow anyone else possession?

He has exclusive use until his death. Unless he allows more, he is still in charge of the property.
