Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
My 75 year old Mother is selling me her home. Currently we have a purchase agreement until the end of the year. If for any reason something happens to her, ex: has a stroke and has to enter a nursing facility, would the state recognize the purchase agreement, and what can we do to protect the house until the closing takes place?

I would recommend a real estate power of attorney for her with someone else in the family to act for her if she becomes disabled or just for convenience. Visit kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz
