Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan
I am considering addition of a name to a house deed, with the goal being as co-owner or full rights to survivor (whichever is easier) should something happen to me so the second party does not have to probate the house. Our Mother passed away recently and I became her personal representative. I would like to have my brother's name added to the house deed. Can this process be as simple as just entering his name as co-owner on the "Personal Residence Exemption" form (MI Treasury Form # 2368)?

No, you need a quit claim deed to add him. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to get started with this. Tim Klisz
