Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

After answering a summons for Judicial foreclosure we were sent a notice to attend a Early Disposition Settlement Conference Notice...what does this mean and is it a good thing for us?

The court wants to know the details of your defense and if there is anything the court could do to assist the parties in resolving the dispute. It is good for you, but you may want to hire an attorney to attend the Settlement Conference as there are legal issues that you may not be aware of.
